Amazon's U.S. site has issued an announcement: starting July 1, orders shipped to Florida and Kansas will be taxed.

This is the latest in a series of tax-collection expansions across U.S. states, and it means operating costs for U.S. site sellers will rise again. The combination of low prices, low traffic, and low profits — already a headache for many sellers — gets a little tighter.
